Fat Transfer to Face

Fat transfer removes fatty deposits from donor sites on the body such as the flanks, thighs or tummy using liposuction, and injects these fatty deposits into other areas of the body to restore fullness and shape.

Fat transfer removes fatty deposits from donor sites on the body such as the flanks, thighs or tummy using liposuction, and injects these fatty deposits into other areas of the body to restore fullness and shape.

The fatty deposits can be replaced in your cheeks or other parts of your face where the effects of ageing are beginning to make you look gaunt or ‘tired.’ The particular appeal of this technique is that your own cells are used. No foreign materials are involved as your own fat becomes a natural ‘filler.’ It is also less invasive, involving only minor incisions and syringes.

Your head and face has a particularly effective blood supply which helps the transfer to be accepted by your body. Fat (adipose tissue) contains high levels of stem cells and other regenerative tissue. Fat retention in the face is likely to be in the region of 80-90% at the initial treatment.
